SAM WEST as General Manager of AGTF is a trade finance professional with over 15 years private credit and banking experience. With a focus on emerging markets, Sam is an expert in Structured Trade Commodity Finance, the bulk of his experience supporting trade into or out of Africa. Sam has managed teams and portfolios across multi-geographical commodity sectors including but not limited to Energy and Metals, Industrials, Mining, Agri and Soft Commodities. Sam set up and ran the Soft Commodities team for FirstBank in London and started the Africa desk for a UK based Agri Commodity Finance fund.
